Swedish cruiserweight talent Erik Skoglund won his first fight as a professional on Saturday night as he cruised to a clear points victory over previously unbeaten Istvan Laboda in Oldenburg, Germany. Skoglund pleased the crowd throughout the entire four rounds, landing strong shots to body and head. “Erik gave us a first taste of what he is capable of doing inside the ring,” Team Sauerland sports director Hagen Doering lauded. “He did very well to beat Laboda, who is a tough guy.”
Added coach Karsten Rower: “I am pleased with Erik´s performance,” he said. “He did very well in practice and also in the ring. He has a lot of potential and he showed it tonight.”
